Hello All-
I just wanted to post a quick update that there are going to be some changes coming in the new year here on the WCOBBS blog. We now have a website, http://wcobbs.web.officelive.com/default.aspx and you can now find all of the WCOBBS contact info, links, etc in one place. As for this blog, it will have news, and finished blanket updates.
Please stay tuned for these changes, and we look forward to hearing your feedback!
Cheers!

Welcome to the Western Canadian Oddball Baby Blanket Society!
Hi there! We are glad you found us!
We are the Western Canadian Oddball Baby Blanket Society, a large group of knitters and crocheters that create beautiful baby blankets for the Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit of the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Here is how we work. One of our members starts a blanket and knits or crochets six inches. They then pack up the blanket along with a notebook and send it along to another one of our members. In the notebook, the member can write a quick note to the future blanket's little owner, which shows the progression and travels of the blanket. With over 70 members, we usually have quite a few blankets going at a time, but new members are always welcome!
As we have become larger than most OBB groups, we incorporated as a non-profit charitable society in August 2009. This is really exciting because we are the first and (currently) only OBB group that has reached this goal.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please email us at wcobbsociety@shaw.ca or visit our group on Ravelry. We would love to have you on board!
Things on our site has changed, please take a minute to look around!
We have a brand new navigation section on the right side of our homepage here that will direct you to all different areas of our site.
Thank you all so very much for making this endeavor such a rewarding and joyful part of our lives! Without each and every one of you donating time, energy, yarn, patterns, etc. This would still be just a dream.
As always, If you have any questions or comments, please let us know at wcobbsociety@shaw.ca
